Caudalie Vinopure Set – Overview

I have talked about the three different products mentioned here before, and I will make sure to link each individual review as I go on, but I still felt the need to give you an overview of the Caudalie Vinopure Set as well.

Because just like the ingredient list doesn’t tell you the whole story about how a product is going to work, looking at each individual product in a set won’t tell you if the set as a whole is something worth spending money on.

The advice you get when being a set is almost as important as the different products inside, because the whole point of a set is to get products that play nicely together and enhance each others effects.

If that is true for the Caudalie Vinopure Set?

I go in-depth in the video, but you will find the information as always below for future reference.

The advice

You are advised to use all three products twice a day after cleansing, and to be perfectly clear: You really should NOT use them that way. Two out of the three contain alcohol, and if you were to use them twice a day, even the oiliest skin would get pretty dry.

Acne skin needs gentle treatment, and while I don’t mind a little alcohol here and there, this is far from being gentle, especially when paired with the essential oils.

What I advise instead

Pick the one product from the set that suits you and your needs most and then incorporate it into your routine once a day. I settled for the toner in the mornings and the serum in the evenings, but see what fits you best.

If you are in your twenties with oily skin

The Caudalie Vinopure Toner (Review) is best suited to those with oily and congested skin, but little other problems. It doesn’t offer any other benefits than fighting congestion.

It is a basic salicylic acid toner that can easily be duped.

If you are thirty or beyond with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

The Caudalie Vinopure Serum (Review) is my favorite of the three, and the one best suited to my skin type. It combines salicylic acid to combat congestion and Niacinamide against hyperpigmentation and for general skin improvement. So if you are no longer a teenager, but suffer from adult acne, this is the product I would recommend you pick.

I have never seen a similar product.

If you just want a lightweight moisturizer

Out of the three products, the Caudalie Vinopure Moisturizer (Review) is the one that I have the hardest time recommending to anyone. It doesn’t contain salicylic acid like the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo does, it just is a lightweight moisturizer that contains essential oils. I experienced piling when paired with any skincare other than the set, so I couldn’t make it work for me, and to be honest to me it just wasn’t special enough to keep trying.

So if it isn’t for testing out all three of them, save yourself the money and just get the one product working best for your skin type.
