My birthday is in February and I tend to use the discount codes you get at the various places to get things I have been eyeing for a while, but don’t necessarily need. This month it was the it Cosmetics CC Cream (yes, I have never used it before) and the new release from The Inkey List, their Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum.

Not purchased myself, but send to me by the brands were a new ZIIP Halo with their three gels, the Medik8 Liquid Peptides Serum and, completely new to me, a selection of products from the brand bynacht. It is a German skincare brand and while it is probably too expensive to become a regular thing in my routine, their design and focus on a restful nights sleep were too good to pass on.
I turned 46 and have been noticing lately that my sleep isn’t as untroubled as it used to be – the joys of getting older I guess.

New in from The Inkey List
I have been a longstanding fan of The Inkey List (here is a list of all the reviews I have on them) and while I don’t buy everything they come out with, I aspire to at least try the products that are likely to work for my skin type. The Inkey List Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum (30 ml for 16 €, full review coming soon) is very interesting with its claims to help restore the barrier and hydrate the skin, as with winter on its last leg and spring not yet here my skin is a little displeased.
I have talked about Ectoin as ingredient in skincare products before here, and that paired with Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid as a serum sounds like it could provide some relief.

New in from IT cosmetics
I am well aware that I might be the last person on earth to try the IT Cosmetics CC Cream (32 ml for 37,99 €, full review coming soon), but despite it sitting on my „to buy“ list for more then five years now, I got constantly disctracted by other bases promising a natural finish and lightweight texture. As I transferred my lists from one Notion setup to another recently though, I decided that I either delete the items on them or get around to buying it, so here we are.
I’ve been wearing it almost daily since I got it and it isn’t quite as I expected. Seeing that it has been around for so long though I need your opinion:
Do you still want my review or is it that old already that I really shouldn’t bother?

New in from Medik8
Medik8 as a brand is quite new to me, but two of the three products I have reviewed so far were quite lovely. They recently released their Medik8 Liquid Peptides Advanced MP Wrinkle Reduction Serum (30 ml for 79,95 €, full review coming soon) in a black pump bottle, not to be confused with their Medik8 Liquid Peptides that comes in a see through dropper bottle and at a lower price. I am not firm enough in their product line to say if one is the improved version of the other or if the new release will replace the old one, but once I have looked more into that I will let you know.

New in from ZIIP
I already own a ZIIP Halo (1 device with a regular gel for 399 €, full review here) and use it on the regular, but triggered by an Instagram Story where I featured it, the brand decided to send me a new set. There is no change in how it works and mine is still fully functional after 1.5 years of regular use, but you can see that it has been well loved – that was probably what triggered the replacement. I am especially delighted about the three bottles of gel, as the ZIIP conductive gels are really pricey, but also really lovely when compared to your standard ultrasound gel.

New in from BYNACHT
I already told you that BYNACHT is a German skincare brand, and that is reflected in their name. Nacht means night in German, so the lineup is called „by night“ essentially, and their products are divided into skincare and sleep enhancement.
From the skincare lineup is the BYNACHT Illuminating Super C Serum (30 ml for 160 €, full review coming soon), the BYNACHT Post Laser and Procedure Ultra Repair Serum (30 ml for 285 €, full review coming soon) both of which I specifically asked for, and the BYNACHT High Moon Firming Decolleté Gel (100 ml for 145 €, full review coming soon)
From the „Sleep Enhancer“ area are the BYNACHT Perfect Nacht Sleeping Oil (100 ml for 130 €, full review coming soon) and the BYNACHT Perfect Nacht Sleeping Balm (15 ml for 79 €, full review coming soon). These are not meant to be ingested, but include a special blend of essential oils that are designed to make you drowsy and help you get a restful night of sleep. I have yet to try any of the widely available Pillow Sprays on the market – so far I never needed help falling asleep – but as I said in the introduction, times are changing…
I am aware how incredibly expensive their products are, but aren’t they beautiful in their design as well?
