Just when I finished a 12 weeks test of a LED mask from earlier this year, The Light Salon send over some more. The Light Salon is actually a physical place founded in 2015, where you could go for LED treatment, which makes it different from other companies selling these devices. In addition, Timeless offered a few products from their Matrixyl line, Alpha-H send me a bottle of their bestseller, their Liquid Gold Exfoliant, and innbeauty project took care of my summer lip protection needs with a selection of SPF lip balms.

A smaller selection than last month, but exclusively things I am excited about. I just need to figure out a new routine, including all the good stuff into my testing. Now that I look at it, it might not be so difficult though: Device, lip balms and exfoliant aren’t interfering with each other, which means only the Timeless products need a proper rotation plan.

But let’s look at what exactly I have.

New in from The Light Salon

The Light Salon, as I mentioned before, is actually a place to go to and get your treatment, and the Boost range the products they developed to go with that, both skincare and devices. Let’s start with The Light Salon Boost Advanced LED mask (1 mask with charger and dust bag for 495 €, full review here) looks like your regular LED mask but, that much I can already (exitedly!) tell you, comes with a strap to go above the head as well as behind, meaning it won’t slide around as much as others.

In addition to that I received The Light Salon Boost Advanced LED Collar for neck and face (1 device with charger and dust bag for 230 €, full review here) that can, no surprises, been worn around the neck – yes, my husband made barking noises when he first saw that – but also around the hair line or the lower part of the face to cover the mouth area. Don’t ask what my husband said to that…

In addition I received The Light Salon Boost Cleanse and Recovery Spray (100 ml for 45 €, full review coming soon) using Hypochlorus Acid, (More info: The benefits of Hypochlorous Acid in skincare explained), and The Light Salon Boost Enzymatic Cleanser and Mask (120 ml for 55 €, full review coming soon), apparently formulated to prep the skin ideally for LED Light application through a gentle enzymatic exfoliation process.

While I started testing them right away, the reviews will take time, so please be patient.

New in from Timeless

Timeless is a brand that doesn’t feature too frequently on the blog here as I always need to order from overseas. The one product I did try though, the Timeless 20% Vitamin C + Ferulic Acid (full review here), was pretty good though, so I am excited to explore the brand a little more.

If you are not familiar with the Matrixyl Complex, it is a combination of peptides by a specific manufacturer, mainly aimed at targeting signs of premature aging and some data on their effects on the skin – all from the manufacturer of course. (More info: The benefits of peptides in skincare explained) These peptides are part of the skincare products I am showing you today, with two combining Matrixyl 3000, a combination of two peptides out of one is supposed to increase collagen production, while the other prevents breakdown, and the other one containing Matrixyl Synthe´6 claiming to aid in the production of six different things essential for a healthy skin structure. All combine the peptides with Hyaluronic Acid, something I really enjoy as it gives me hydration with an extra.

The ones with Matrixyl 3000 are the timeless HA Spray with Matrixyl 3000 and Rose Extract (17,49 € for 120 ml, full review here) for touch ups on the go and the timeless Matrixyl 3000 Serum (25,99 € for 30 ml, full review here) for your regular routine, and the one with Matrixyl Synthe`6 also comes as serum called timeless Matrixyl Synthe´6 Serum (30 ml for 25,99 €, full review here) – you get what is written on the bottle!

New in from innbeauty Project

innbeauty Project seems to become a regular feature on here, I am currently testing my way through their skin- and bodycare, and right in time for the warmer weather they send over their three new innbeauty Project Sun Balm SPF 30 in the colors pink, latte and rosy brown (17 g for 15 $, full review coming soon).

I have talked about the importance of sun protection for your lips before (More info: Do you need sun protection for the lips?) and while I wouldn’t necessarily wear SPF 30 to the beach, they are a great way to add some protection and not forego color on your lips when you are out and about. If they are comfortable to wear, that is, something I am planning to find out soon.

New in from Alpha-H

Although I am not sure I can really call it a new in, as the first time the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Exfoliating Treatment featured on here was back in 2014. It has been around way longer, 25 years, and while I haven’t been using it for that length of time, it actually predates my blog. Now it is here in a new packaging made from 100% recycled packaging, but apparently everything else remains unchanged. I will of course give it a go to see if it feels the same, but if you have been a long time fan like me, you can rest assured that most likely nothing but the packaging has changed.
