Somehow it seems like everyone is on holiday right now. Is it that time of year already? The time were people are gathering at the beaches, cocktail in one hand, book in the other and care about nothing else than tan lines and evening plans?
It certainly feels like that when I am clicking away on my keyboard in an eerily quiet office or when I look at my suddenly quiet bloglovin feed. I have to admit my mind has been occupied as well. Not holiday, not yet, but personal and family stuff. These things have a tendency to creep up on you and completely take over within seconds.
But no more about that, let´s focus on things that sparked joy in the month of July. And on the ones that didn´t, because such is life.

If I had to choose, this post here would have been my favorite. I don´t really own much high end makeup, and the opportunity to actually play with a whole collection “hot of the press” had me childishly excited.
Naming this post here “The best …” was actually kind of an experiment. I really wanted to know if blog post titles like “My five favorite…” and such were as good at driving traffic as blog post tips were suggesting. Now this is just a one time trial, and maybe highlighters is another keyword often searched for, but so far the blog post did very well and sits firmly on top of the list of blog posts read. Just out of curiosity, have you noticed the title making a huge difference?
I still think I will stick to my usual kind of posts and titles though. Whenever bloglovin sends me a bunch of “Top five…” articles I tend to click delete at lightning speed, and I really don´t want to publish things I would probably not bother reading myself.
And so it is reassuring that this blog post here is another one sitting among the most clicked posts of July. It is a classic skincare review paired with a little rant, and those are my favorite posts to write and read!
Oh, and before you go: There will be no “Favorites and Recap” in the month of August, because I will be gathering with friends on the beach, cocktail in one hand, book in the other… Or at least I will try. To make up for that there might be a giveaway though, so look out for that.
