February is usually a pretty exciting month for me. I mean, we all do expect a little bit of action around our birthday, don´t we?
Well, for the last few years my birthday was a pretty low key event. In fact the last big celebration with friends was when I turned 30. To explain that, let me quickly walk you through the years that followed.
When I turned 31, I was preparing for a big exam and my upcoming wedding.
When I turned 32, I had just moved out from our flat and was getting a divorce from my husband.
When I turned 33, I was in the middle of nowhere, on the W circuit of Torres del Paine national park in Chile.
When I turned 34, I had just had a miscarriage.
When I turned 35, I was ten months pregnant with my daughter.
When I turned 36, I was at a camping resort in New Zealand with my daughter and Mr. Loca.
When I turned 37, I was nine months pregnant with my son.
And I assumed that turning 38 would follow along the same lines. But Mr. Loca proved me wrong. Twice.

Now the vlog doesn´t solely evolve around my birthday. That would be vain. Although, strictly speaking, when is a vlog not vain? Assuming that my life is of interest to the world, or at least the small part of the world watching my videos is probably the definition of vain.
Before I get off on a tangent here, let me tell you what this vlog is also about: My first facial in years, a vernissage and a photography class.
And for those of you wondering:
The artist mentioned is Karl Holtz *14.01.1899, the hotel we were staying at is the Hyatt Regency in Mainz and the photography class was taught by Fabian Sanders on behalf of Fotosafari. None of which was sponsored, so you can see it was a month equally exciting as it was expensive.
