Monthly Recap March 2020 – Where the heck have I been?

Last month was a rather unusual one, I guess we can all agree on that.

With Covid19 spreading quickly all over the world and many countries going in lockdown, I don’t think anyone was able to do business as usual.

Remember to stop and breathe, even in times like this.

Back when I decided to leave the hospital and join the Public Health team, I would have never thought that I would ever experience times like these. For the last few weeks me and my coworkers have been working nonstop to #flattenthecurve.

At the time that I write this, the area I live in still hasnt seen exponential growth in cases, but I fear the hardest weeks are yet to come.

With me working seven days a week and around 13 hours a day I can’t tell if I will be able to update this blog on a regular basis. I will try though, if only to give myself a sense of „normal life“ in what feels like a nightmare I have yet to wake up from.

On the plus side I have learned that I work with incredible people, that together we can build amazing things in a short amount of time, that we can rely on each other without hesitation and that cold pizza and a good laugh are sometimes all you need to keep going.

I admit I don’t know how long this is going to be like that, so I am trying to get myself back into some kind of a routine, with working out, eating healthy(ish) and spending time on things other than quarantine and hospital bed capacity reports.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to complain – I love my job and take great pride in what we managed to do so far. But the more frivolous side of me wants back out again too, to talk about skincare and beauty and stuff, so we will see how that goes.

How are you keeping up through lockdown?
