If you are not familiar with the “Inspired by…” series, click here for an explanation.
But short story even shorter, each month I choose a seasonal ad and try to recreate the models look with colors I already own.
Dressing up and awkward posing included!
Quite honestly, the Dior Splendor Holiday 2016 makeup wasn´t much of a challenge, makeup wise. Nor was it super unique. But I have done the Dior Holiday look every year since starting the series (here and here), and I have a weakness for dark eyes and red lips, so I decided to stick with the tradition.
And recreating the makeup did prove a challenge after all: The black eyeshadow stick, the one I bought for my first ever “Inspired by” blogpost, did not work like I had hoped it would. Even with lots of layers, it still looked a little patchy, and it did not stay put too well. So if you have any black eyeshadow recommendations, I am all ears.
But enough excuses, on to the video, which you should totally watch on You Tube and in HD. And till the end, as there are bloopers.

The jumper was an absolute necessity, when I decided my filming area would be in the basement, I had not expected it to be so cold in the winter months! So please excuse the lack of a black silky thing when posing…
