My top three holiday nail polishes – Glitters and red

Red is a shade that symbolizes Christmas more than anything else for me. The red leaves of the poinsettia, red lipstick and – of course – red nails. Not just any red, of course. No burgundy red, no pink red, no, a true red, maybe with a hint of glitter. Only a hint, mind you, I really can´t be bothered with the whole glitter polish removal process. So if you are curious to know what has been gracing my nails this last month, have a look at my top three holiday…

Inspired by … Giorgio Armani Luxe is More Collection Holiday 2015

If you are not familiar with the “Inspired by…” series, click here for an explanation. But short story even shorter, each month I choose a seasonal ad and try to recreate the models look with colors I already own. Dressing up and awkward posing included!   As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to recreate the “Giorgio Armani Luxe is More” makeup in December. It may not be the most exotic look I have ever seen, but everything about it seems very glamorous and very “me”. Velvet…

Favorite Face of November 2015

If you are not familiar with the “Favorite Face of …” series, click here for a little introduction. Short story even shorter, it is the makeup that I wore most during that month, featuring the favorite (as in most used) makeup products. As many of you may know already, I am currently at home. But as I  stated here, I wore makeup almost every single day to get me into a “work mindset”. Granted, it was a quick and easy look skipping foundation most days, but it was all I needed to…

Splashing my face with water – MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation

I think we all are old enough to know that advertisements and reality usually don’t match. Sometimes even the claims sound a little odd to me. Case in point? The new MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation. According to the sales assistant, your face after applying the foundation should look and feel like you just splashed it with water. Hydrated and glowing. If I splashed my face with water, it would feel tight, my eyes would get a little red and my nose would start running. Not really that tempting, hm?…

Favorite Face of … October

If you are not familiar with the “Favorite Face of …” series, click here for a little introduction. Short story even shorter, it is the makeup that I wore most during that month, featuring the favorite (as in most used) makeup products. Many of you will know by now that I am usually not wearing much makeup when working. But as I am home at the moment (read here why), I was able to go all out and enjoy fall makeup at its finest. A dark brown-purple smokey eye, paired with bold…

I´ve got this fever again – MAC Hot/Cold Tinted Lipglass

Do you know it? The feeling when you see something and suddenly turn hot and cold, because you know you just have to have it? That hasn’t happened to me for the longest time, but when I stumbled upon the pictures of MACs “Wash and Dry”-Collection, it got me. The Limited Edition Fever! MAC Tinted Lipglass in Hot/Cold And I am not ashamed to admit, it wasn’t a particular product that infected me with this bad case of LE-Fever. It was the packaging. The gorgeous, rainbow colored pattern gracing all…

Are you a neutral girl? Then MAC Matchmaster Foundation might be just the one for you

MAC was my first makeup love, and it will always hold a special place in my heart and on my drawer. During my first year of building a collection, all I bought was MAC I am a little embarrassed to admit I own at least one piece of every LE released in 2012, sometimes waiting in front of the store with other beauty lovers on release day, just to make sure I would get my hands on the desired item. And even though these days are long gone and I…
