Welcome to the last New In Post of 2023, which mainly contains of old favorites I stocked up on in the Black Friday sales – The Inkey List, Paula’s Choice and Olaplex, some bits from The Ordinary that were part of their prepacked skincare gifts for the holidays and lastly a brand that is entirely new to me, Florasis.

Everything new for December – The Inkey List, Olaplex, Paula’s Choice, The Ordinary and Florasis

Most of my favorites last me at least 6 months, things like hair care around a year, so I always have a list prepared to stock up on them when a sale comes around. While I don’t really like the pressure to buy just for the sake of having a discount, especially products that are on the spendy side (I am looking at you, NIOD CAIS) offer great savings that can add up over time.

Please do tell me in the comments if there is something you want to see reviewed first, so I can bump it up my product list that really is way too long.

Florasis is a brand that is new to me

New In from Florasis

Florasis is a brand I mainly knew from their beautiful makeup I saw on Instagram ads. I can’t comment on the quality or longevity, but the packaging and embossing truly is a work of art. When they reached out to me offering to send over some skincare, I was curious. The brand itself was founded in 2017 in China and focuses on floral essences and ancient artistry, which you can see in their packaging.

When you look at their website, you will see that makeup is their main focus, so the skincare items they sent over are mainly ones that are in relation to that, which is cleansers and lip care. We have their Florasis Cordyceps Sinensis and Ginseng Makeup Remover Cream (98 ml for 45,95 €, full review here) and their Florasis Botanical Hydra-Soothe Cleansing Oil (210 ml for 44,95 €, full review here), both designed to take you makeup off while caring for the skin.

To keep the lips soft and supple, there is the Florasis Ginseng Care Lip Balm (6 g for 13,95 €, full review here) and the Florasis Floral Care Hydrating Dual Lip Oil (5 g for 23,95 €, full review here), and as you can see in the picture above, the packaging in their skincare is equally as beautiful as it is in their makeup.

New in from The Ordinary

The Ordinary had a few gift sets for the holidays, to provide you with a selection of tried and trusted products to either use as main gift or, given each set contains a variety of travel sizes, as stocking fillers for the skincare loving person in your life. They kindly sent over their „Most Loved“ set, containing three bestsellers: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum (30 ml for 6 €, read my full review here), The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Serum (30 ml for 9 €, read my full review here) and, the only one that is new to me, The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (30 ml for 9,50 €, review coming soon).

I have been meaning to try the Caffeine Solution for a while now, but whenever I tried to get it it was out of stock, so I am really looking forward to experiencing the hype around it myself.

Old favorites I have stocked up on

New in repurchased old favorites – My Black Friday purchases

None of the items in this category is new to me, and none has been repurchased for he first time. On the contrary, all have been in my rotation for more than a year and will (spoiler!) feature in my Holy Grail skincare routine 2023 that will be published first thing in the New Year.

The NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 3 (30 ml for 87 €, read my full review here) is really expensive, so I try to stock up on it during sales or in this case during Deciems Slowvember, when it was only around half the price. Olaplex No 3 (100 ml for 22,99 €, read my full review here) lasts me a little longer than a year, so is again something I tend to stock up on during sales, and both the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (118 ml for 39 €, read my full review here) as well as The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream (15 ml for 10,99 €, read my full review here) were on their last leg, so I added them to my cart as well.

Even with something as affordable as The Inkey List it doesn’t hurt to save when possible.
